Cabo Girão is a headland 580 meters high, located in the municipality of Câmara de Lobos, on the island of Madeira. In addition to being the highest promontory in Europe, it is also known for its famous viewpoint, which features a suspended glass platform, popularly called the "skywalk". Currently, it is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the municipality and Madeira.

From the viewpoint, visitors can enjoy the breathtaking view of the municipalities of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal, surrounded by green mountains in an urban setting integrated into a natural amphitheater facing south. In addition, it is possible to see the fajãs of Rancho and Cabo Girão, with small areas of cultivated land at the foot of the cliff.
In addition to being a popular tourist spot, Cabo Girão is also a privileged place to practice extreme sports, such as paragliding and BASE jumping. The Portuguese parachutist Mário Pardo chose this place for a famous motorcycle jump. Furthermore, close to Cabo Girão is the chapel of Nossa Senhora de Fátima, an important pilgrimage site on the island.
